Theme

This year theme is “Never Forgetting”, chosen to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Operation Enduring Freedom.

We are also recognizing the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Staging Times

Non vehicle entries regardless of block assignment: By 10:00 AM

A-B (special entries, lead band, grand marshal)
8:30 AM to 9:00 AM

C-D (government, law enforcement, public safety, reserved)
8:30 AM 9:15 AM

E-F (veterans, veteran service organizations, military, military related, sponsors)
8:30 AM 9:30 AM

G-H (general entries on first come first staged basis)
9:00 AM 10:00 AM

Registration Deadline

Due to the overwhelming number of entries we have, we will not accept registration after the deadline. We will make exceptions for Veterans who wish to participate. Registration ends 6 November 2026 at 8:00 PM.

Before You Begin

Please review the parade rules prior to registering. Please do not disembark your entry on East Madison Street until instructed to do so. Please follow all instructions given by the volunteers of VET Inc, the City of Tallahassee and Leon County employees.

Safety Considerations

Walking entries are limited to the following:
- Bands
- Color Guard
- Honor Guard
- Marching Units such as:
  - ROTC’s
  - JROTC’s
  - Military affiliated groups and organizations.
- All participants must be a member of the organization.
There will be no walking along the periphery of the route. Please maintain a distance of at least two feet away from the barriers.
There will be no distributing of items from the parade route. NO exceptions.
- This includes and is not limited to:
  - Throwing items
  - Hand outs/Flyers
- If you wish to do so, please have someone from your organization walk along the sidewalk and or set up a booth at VETFest.

Adherence to parade rules *

I have reviewed the parade rules and acknowledge that our entry will comply.

I am also aware that ALL parade entries must follow a military or patriotic theme AND have at least one American Flag displayed.

I understand that my and or my organization’s participation is at the discretion of VET Inc and may be revoked at any time for any reason.

No politics

This parade and related events are to recognize, honor and celebrate our Veterans, all parade entries, except when authorized, should reflect this.

No political material *

No entry may display, conspicuously or otherwise easily viewable from the parade route, any form of political material. 

This includes but not limited to items such as a candidate endorsement (name, position seeking party affiliation) and or items and statements that a reasonable person would find political in nature.

When such material is affixed to a vehicle and is not easily removable, it should be covered in a reasonable fashion. Said covering must not be removed while the entry is an active participant in the parade.

In the case of a government organization, my organization’s entry will refrain from displaying the title, party affiliation and or name of the individual when the head of my organization is an elected official.

VET Inc reserves the right to assess if any part of the entry may be consider political in nature and refuse participation if your entry violates these terms and conditions.

Advertisement Fee And Sponroship

You can pay this fee by check, money order and if available debit/credit card before the parade or upon entering the staging area. Sponsorship and donations are our only source of funds. Interested in sponsorship? Contact us for more information.

Advertisement Charge *

If your entry has visible organization logos and your organization is not part of the media, a sponsor or has a prior arranged agreement with VET Inc, you will be charged an entry fee of $125. 

We reserve the right to assess if an entry is overly commercial, charge or waive the fee and or deny participation.
